Welcome to our Sunday service online. Please click on the items below to follow the service at your own pace.
You may like to have a candle ready to light with John.
Our opening hymn is 'Father, hear the prayer we offer'  .
Reflect on the day and on your relationships.
  • -  What good things have come from God today?
  • -  Where have I fallen short?
  • -  What might I do tomorrow?
You may wish to say or pray:
Lord, have mercy.
Christ, have mercy.
Lord, have mercy.

The collect for today;

Risen Christ,faithful shepherd of your Father’s sheep:
teach us to hear your voice
and to follow your command,
that all your people may be gathered into one flock,
to the glory of God the Father. Amen
The Gospel for today is from John 10. 1-10

1
“Very truly I tell you Pharisees, anyone who does not enter the sheep pen by the gate, but climbs in by some other way, is a thief and a robber.
2 The one who enters by the gate is the shepherd of the sheep. 3 The gatekeeper opens the gate for him, and the sheep listen to his voice. He calls his own sheep by name and leads them out. 4 When he has brought out all his own, he goes on ahead of them, and his sheep follow him because they know his voice. 5 But they will never follow a stranger; in fact, they will run away from him because they do not recognize a stranger’s voice.” 6 Jesus used this figure of speech, but the Pharisees did not understand what he was telling them.

7 Therefore Jesus said again, “Very truly I tell you, I am the gate for the sheep. 8 All who have come before me are thieves and robbers, but the sheep have not listened to them. 9 I am the gate; whoever enters through me will be saved. They will come in and go out, and find pasture. 10 The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.
We now have our next hymn, 'Loving shepherd of our sheep' and this is followed by a talk from Revd. Sue Bradley.
Before Sue leads us in our intercessions, we sing the hymn 'Bind us together, Lord'.
Almighty God, Father of all mercies,
we your unworthy servants give you most humble and hearty thanks
for all your goodness and loving kindness.
We bless you for our creation, preservation,
and all the blessings of this life;
but above all for your immeasurable love
in the redemption of the world by our Lord Jesus Christ,
for the means of grace, and for the hope of glory.
And give us, we pray, such a sense of all your mercies
that our hearts may be unfeignedly thankful,
and that we show forth your praise, not only with our lips, but in our lives,
by giving up ourselves to your service,
and by walking before you in holiness and righteousness all our days;
through Jesus Christ our Lord,
to whom, with you and the Holy Spirit,
be all honour and glory, for ever and ever.
Amen.

Before John closes our service, we sing 'O Jesus, I have promised'.
