Returning to Services in Ironstone Church Buildings
As we return to holding services again in our Ironstone Churches, there are a few things which will be rather different than ’normal’. If you plan to attend one of the services in September either in Eastwell, Scalford or Waltham, please expect the following:
Hand sanitiser available for you to use on entry and exit - it might also be helpful to bring your own for use during the service if required.
Socially distanced seating - that’s why it would be really helpful to let the churchwarden know in advance if you’re planning to attend the
services in Eastwell or Scalford.
Face coverings - following government advice, everyone attending must wear a face covering, unless there is a health reason for you not to
do so.
Spoken service - we won’t be singing any hymns, but at some services recorded music will be played .
Holy Communion - this will be administered in one kind (a wafer), and brought to you where you are seated.
Our plans are evolving in response to a fluid situation and any changes in government/church guidelines. We shall continue to offer online worship on our website and via Zoom, and will also be exploring how we can safely start to hold services in other Ironstone Church buildings again before too long. In these strange and challenging times, it will be good to see familiar faces again meeting in familiar places. And, although things will certainly be rather different than ‘normal’, the focus of our worship - wherever and however it is offered - remains the One whose love and faithfulness are unchanging.
